two people at two computer screens Planning, designing, installing, operating, managing and securing IT infrastructure are essential skills for an IT-related career. Learn these skills and more using leading-edge equipment and laboratories to apply core concepts to technical topics.

You will also have the opportunity to pursue an internship work placement (locally or abroad) or participate in the Capstone Study Project where you will work with a team to provide consulting services to an industry partner.

Students have access to new, modern buildings, libraries and innovative labs including:

  • Hacker Research Laboratory
  • Networking Laboratory

*This program is not running for the 2024 spring/summer session.

Between Year 3 and 4, I completed a 16-month paid internship at IBM as a Network Support Specialist. IBM's internship program is truly outstanding—from the day-to-day job, to building and creating new relationships with other interns. I felt career-ready by gaining real-world experiences with cutting-edge technologies. The most rewarding part was being offered a contract extension for another eight months, which I happily accepted.
