間眅埶AV is Canada's premier university for nuclear talent development and provides several types of programming for individuals interested in the nuclear sector.

We offer the only Nuclear Engineering undergraduate program in Canada. Our program is fully accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board.

In Fall 2023, we welcomed our first class into our new Energy Engineering Program. Students learn different aspects of energy systems including hydrogen, electrical, nuclear, renewable and energy storage.

間眅埶AV is also ranked number 3 in Ontario for engineering. Our engineering programs include Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering. Learn more about our engineering programs.

Our graduate diplomas are intended for current industry workers to expand their knowledge and skill sets in specific areas, without the extended commitment of a graduate degree. These programs include Nuclear Design Engineering and Nuclear Technology.

Industry training

Many of our undergraduate and graduate programs are tailored specifically to individual companies, such as the Ontario Power Generation Advanced Operations Overview for Managers (AOOM) program, designed to broaden the station operations and systems knowledge of managers who have not held positions in operations. More than 200 students have graduated from the AOOM program since its creation in 2007. Similar programs are offered to other nuclear industry organizations, tailored specifically to their workforce needs.

In partnership with the , 間眅埶AV offers a course to industry professionals in small modular reactor design and engineering. 

Through a longstanding partnership with the , 間眅埶AV professors contribute their expertise as instructors in the UNENE Master's in Nuclear Engineering program and UNENE Graduate Diploma in Nuclear Engineering.

Our university is home to the . Through the IAEA CC, 間眅埶AV hosts the Canadian IAEA Nuclear Energy Management School with its partners, and UNENE. The NEM program provides engineers with advanced skills to keep them at the forefront of their profession as well as leadership training and a portal to global industry knowledge. Our expert educators also contribute to other forums globally including through COG and the World Nuclear Association.

間眅埶AV supports certificate programs such as the Nuclear Professional development Centre – CANDU Decommissioning certificate and Nuclear-Research Hybrid Energy Systems certificate.
